UNDER $100 PICKS

We both like to incorporate both higher and lower priced items into our wardrobe. While we would love to have a closet full of all the beautiful high end designer items, that's just not very realistic for us. So, we tend to splurge on staple items that can be worn for years and then mix in other pieces that are at a lower price point. You can find some great lower priced pieces, but sometimes it may take a bit of searching. For example, this top is under $50 and the skirt is well under $100. This shirt will pair well with so many items and is a great piece to have in your wardrobe. As you may have noticed, we have been all about the midi skirt this year. As soon as I spotted this one at Zara, I knew I had to have it. We love the matching belt detail. Shoes are typically where we will splurge. A nice pair of shoes can really complete the look. We just love these shoes and they come in so many other gorgeous colors and patterns. They are a great staple.

Below we are sharing more great pieces that are ALL PRICED UNDER $100! Actually, a lot are even under $50. Check them out🤗

SPAGHETTI SQUASH CAPRESE BAKE

I have been making this for a few years now and it has become my favorite spaghetti squash recipe. It's pretty easy to prepare and is great as a side or main dish.  I usually top it with pan seared shrimp and make it more of a main dish.  It's the perfect summer meal!

Ingredients
  • 1 large spaghetti squash
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes
  • 1 small handful fresh basil
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup + 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375° F
  2. Cut spaghetti squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out and discard seeds. Brush squash halves with olive oil and place face down on pan.
  3. Bake spaghetti squash for  45 minutes - 1 hour (depending on size).
  4. Once squash is cooked through, let cool for 5 mins until cool enough to handle. Using a fork, scrape the "noodles" into a large bowl and set aside.
  5. Mince garlic, cut grape tomatoes in half or into quarters, and roughly chop basil and spinach leaves. Place all of these ingredients, along with the olive oil, into the large bowl with spaghetti squash.
  6. Mix well, season with salt & pepper to taste, and stir in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella.
  7. Pour mixture into a pie dish and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of mozzarella.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cheese on top is lightly browned.
  9. Top with additional basil and serve.

ONE-PIECE SWIMWEAR

Happy Saturday! We are excited to finally be spending some time by the pool this weekend. So, now that it's officially swimsuit season lets talk one-piece swimwear. We are seeing all kinds of trends this year which include belts, ruffles, tie dye, and cut outs. It's fun to see how swimwear is evolving into more of statement piece. Below we are sharing our favorites. We love that all of these have a little bit of flair to them...because boring is out, lol. Happy shopping! Treat yourself, we are sure you deserve it.😘

WEDNESDAY WANTS - SUMMER HATS

Today it's all about summer hats! Over the past couple weeks we have received multiple requests for hat suggestions. We love it when we get messages like that because this is what JordAsh is all about...making your life easier & bringing you all the fabulous things. We really put our hearts and souls into this one.  Selecting the perfect summer hats, that are not only pretty but would also look good on everyone, was harder than we imagined it would be. However, we are very pleased with these gorgeous final selections. A couple of these are also packable which is also a plus.

Wheather you are picking strawberries or lounging on the beach, this amazing Straw Tassel Sunhat is sure to protect you from those harmful sun rays.

MUST HAVE MONDAY - EARRING FAVES

So many great earrings come out every season, so we like to do a round up of our faves every few months. We are really loving every single pair of these. We can picture each of these with so many pretty summery outfits. Plus most of these would also easily transition into fall.

How unique are these Gold Bug Drop Earrings. We love the story behind this collection. It was started in Charleston by two sisters, Mariana Hay & Kathleen Hay Hobgood. The Palmetto Bug is a common unwelcome guest in Charleston, SC. The sisters took inspiration from the short story, "The Gold-Bug" by Edgar Allen Poe. They elevated these insects into an art form of a very sought after jewelry collection. Jordan is also from Charleston so, of course, she had to have a pair!
