PERFECT SLOW COOKER RIBS

I recently got this Slow Cooker that I have been eyeing for a while. I love that it has a cast-aluminum insert so you can use it on the stovetop to brown ingredients and then easily transfer it to the base for slow cooking. My last crockpot quit working a couple years ago and I kind of forgot how easy it makes getting dinner on the table. This is definitely one of my favorite things to cook in the crockpot. It's super simple and takes just minutes to prepare. The last step is the most important and makes them taste like they are fresh off the grill.

If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, this is my favorite BBQ sauce to use for this recipe.

Ingredients
  • Rack of Pork Baby Back Ribs
  • Seasoning to taste (I like to do Salt, Pepper & Garlic)
  • 1 Bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce

Directions
  1. Divide ribs into 3 or 4 pieces.
  2. Place cut ribs into slow cooker and season to taste.
  3. Coat with 3/4 bottle of your favorite BBQ Sauce. (Usually around 2 cups)
  4. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8. (I have done both ways and they turn out great)
  5. Once ribs are fully cooked, carefully scoop them out of the slow cooker and place on a baking sheet.
  6. DO NOT SKIP THESE LAST TWO STEPS. Coat each rib piece with the remaining BBQ Sauce.
  7. Place in oven and broil on High until the sauce on top starts to slightly bubble. (Usually takes 3-4 minutes) This will caramelize the sauce and give it that, straight off the grill effect.
